Simplicity is the key ...

Keep it simple they said, as she spirals down over thinking and complicating things, who can relate?

Do you over complicate things in your life ?

Right now, with the time we are in, the need to embrace simplicity has never been more key.

As humans we have a natural tendency to over complicate things, as it’s often a way to cope and its often learned from childhood.

Our learned patterns good and the not so good ones, give us relief in a round about way so we will always seek ways to get to this place.

Simplicity is powerful because it allows us to breathe and creates space and in turn we feel clearer, less stressed and more aligned.

Simplicity feels good but the thought can feel quite scary when you’re so used to things being busy and frantic for instance, so you may have to invite it in bit by bit.

It’s also changing your relationship to the patterns you're releasing to make things more simple, this will help create a marked change, in other words its shifting your point of relief.

So how do we unlock simplicity and welcome it into our lives?

Firstly, we need to get clear where we are over complicating things, which can be quite uncomfortable because we have to look at our own patterns and how we cope with things to see this.

I suggest writing it down, and in order to not overwhelm yourself and over complicate this process  (LOL) break it down.

Look at what you’ve written and look at what you can begin with to strip things back and make things more simple in your life.

Go with the thing that feels good, and make a plan of how you can action this. If you struggle with this, I suggest to invite someone to share this process with as it may be helpful and help you see more clearly.

However, in my experience we tend to know. It's also worth noting many of us wonder if we invite simplicity in what it would feel like without the chaos so it’s worth exploring this feeling too.

Like any process there are many layers to it. The interesting thing with simplicity, it will look different for everyone.

For instance making your life more simple may be inviting someone in to help so you feel less overwhelmed with your work load. By doing this it creates simplicity and space for you.

On the other hand it maybe the opposite where you take more control back to make your life more simple.

It may be taking on a cleaner, finding someone to help with your garden, getting a therapist or clearing up your social media feed.

It could be clearing out your house, or taking more control of your finances, or even looking at toxic people in your life.

These are just a few things I’m highlighting here  but all could make a marked different on your life if that’s what you need to do.

The fact is, it’s tailoring that simplicity to work for you in your life, and in this current lock down we are in we are being giving the opportunity to think about things and look at things in our lives.

There’s never been a better time to do this, especially as we really are feeling so much and it does feel quite overwhelming.

Strip things back !

Remember doing less and creating simplicity doesn’t mean we achieve less often the space we create from this and removing the chaos allows us to achieve more.

Simplicity is alignment.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this topic, what is your relationship to simplicity?

Is simplicity a part of your life ?

All my love
