The dance between divine timing and action....

We’ve all been there when we’ve done all the work and action required but the timing just hasn’t been right.

We feel that sinking feeling of loss and it's not fair wondering when the right time will be.

On the flip side we’ve experienced being in the flow not really seeking and divine timing drops in and what least expected happens at the perfect time.

In truth it’s hard to explain to others how it's come about as the truth is it's simply been clearly the right time.

I’m sure everyone reading these words has experienced both of these, both being experiences that bring about big emotions.

It begs the question, what's the answer here?

Is it solely divine timing and we have to wait for this? Or can we control this and make something happen at the time we want?

I obviously don’t have the exact answer... because who does?

If you do leave your answer below!

But what I’ve come to realise is it's somewhere in the middle, well this has been my experience and of course I’m in no way stating this as a fact. Simply sharing my thoughts and experiences in this post was inspired by a conversation I was having with a friend recently. She had been wanting something to happen at a certain time and in the end she gave up and felt angry because she felt she’d put her all in. Then when she was getting on with her life again, it showed up and she realised it was actually the perfect time. It made her realise divine timing sometimes really plays a part and we can’t control everything.

Which leaves you pondering the question: how do I know what to do and what to trust?

Do I stay waiting for divine time and never make things happen?

The truth is, obviously the answer is complex because there’s no clear right answer.

But here's my take; discernment and gut feeling obviously play a part and listening to these and learning to trust them is essential about the right thing to do.

Of course I appreciate what is easier said than done, but like anything it takes practise.

If you’re trying to make things happen or setting a time frame for something and it's not happening this likely is your answer to pull back and create some space around it, and that it’s simply just not the right time. Remember, this is important to trust, not the right time doesn’t mean it's not going to happen, it's simply letting go of the time frame. It’s also remembering as humans sometimes we aren’t ready for something even when we think we are, and actually if it did happen we would find out we weren’t ready.

I think we’ve all been there and found out this was wrong timing and there's something to learn from that too.

On the flip side there's not a better feeling than when divine timing kicks in at the right time after we’ve surrendered. Now that’s a good feeling when we realise actually this was the perfect time despite any previous annoyance it didn’t happen sooner.

Likewise just sitting and doing nothing waiting for divine timing isn’t really going to do a lot either.

Trusting in the right time is listening to nudges and bread crumbs of feelings we get to take action, but it's doing this without force and inviting flow and alignment. Then the right timing kicks in and it's a co creative experience.

This is a huge topic and one where we can have so many takes on it, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

To close, my advice is listen. We know on a deeper level when we need to move forward with something or when we need to let go and let the right timing kick in. Of course,  like I said above and sometimes we learn, when we forced timing and it didn’t work out.

I suggest musing with how divine timing feels to you and how you relate to and connect to this, as this will help develop your relationship to it.

Let’s hope whenever you read this blog post it’s the right time for you to do that and it's of value for you to read and you're experiencing the magic of divine timing right there.

All my love
