In this episode of “Finding Grace” today I’m joined by Soulla Demetriou, who is an author of the new book “You have always been enough”, trauma informed somatic and transformational coach and embodiment facilitator. For over 15 years, she has guided thousands of people, including high performing leaders and change makers, through depth led inner work and powerful immersive experiences.
Her approach blends self-compassion, nervous system regulation, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and embodied practice to support deep, lasting change.
Through her writing, 1:1 work and Soulshine Retreats, Soulla helps people transform their relationship with themselves as the foundation for liberated living, leadership and meaningful change.
We connected through social media, and I can’t wait to have this conversation today.
In this episode you’ll discover:
Soulla shares what finding grace means to her and how it has shaped the journey she's been on.
She opens up about what led her to this work, including a life-changing accident in recent years and the profound healing it sparked.
We explore the invitation to let go of labelling experiences as simply "good" or "bad."
We discuss how reclaiming our power begins with the responses we choose, and how small moments of self-love can create meaningful change.
Soulla shares the inspiration behind her book, what motivated her to write it, and the transformation it offers readers.
She guides us through the seven-step embodied framework at the heart of the book.
We explore Internal Family Systems (IFS), what it is, how it can support healing, and how readers can begin working with it through the book.
Soulla explains parts work, including the role of protectors and what it means to befriend the different parts of ourselves.
We discuss a powerful message from the book: "Healing begins when we run towards these parts with love."
She shares her perspective on reparenting and why it can be such an important part of the healing journey.
We explore the difference between intellectually knowing we are enough and truly embodying that belief.
We discuss attachment patterns and how they influence the way we relate to ourselves and others.
Soulla shares the unlearning that is often required as we remember our inherent worth and release old patterns.
We explore the healing power of love and connection during difficult and traumatic experiences, and what can happen when that connection is absent.
We discuss inner safety and practical ways to cultivate more of it in everyday life.
Soulla shares what is currently bringing her joy and supporting her wellbeing.
Soulla shares all this and more in this episode, I found it so interesting learning about IFS.
